Device Information
How long should you use PulseStrap™?
Recommended use:
• Warm-up: 30–90 minutes prior to activity
• Post-activity recovery: 30-120 minutes after physical exertion
• Travel or extended sitting: Intermittent sessions during your trip
Consistent use may help reduce post-activity muscle soreness and support improved comfort—so you can stay active and feel your best.
Should PulseStrap™ be used during your Sport or Activity?
PulseStrap™ is not recommended for use during high-intensity training or vigorous physical activity.
However, because it’s compact and portable, PulseStrap™ can be comfortably used during low-intensity movement, such as walking, stretching, or cooldown routines—allowing you to support circulation and muscle recovery even while staying lightly active.
What is the battery life on a single charge for PulseStrap™?
When used as recommended, a full PulseStrap™ charge provides approximately 120 minutes of active stimulation. Actual battery life may vary depending on intensity level and selected settings.
Recharging is simple—just power up and get back to your recovery routine without missing a beat.
Is the PulseStrap™ device rechargeable?
Yes—every PulseStrap™ device is fully rechargeable and includes a convenient charging cable.
Unlike many competing products, PulseStrap™ doesn’t rely on disposable batteries. Simply recharge and reuse—saving you time, money, and hassle.
The only items you'll need to replace periodically are the adhesive gel pads, which may wear over time depending on usage and leg type.
Is it mandatory to use the accessory strap?
Our accessory straps keep the PulseStrap™ devices comfortably and securely in place, especially during movement or extended wear.
Over time, the gel backing on the PulseStrap™ device may lose some of its natural adhesion with repeated use. The strap helps secure the device in place, ensuring consistent contact and effective stimulation exactly where you need it.
Is PulseStrap™ similar to other recovery technologies?
While PulseStrap™ may resemble a muscle stimulator, its benefits extend beyond appearance. Like pneumatic compression, PulseStrap™ is designed to temporarily increase local blood circulation in healthy muscles, helping to relieve post-activity discomfort.
What makes PulseStrap™ unique is its ability to target multiple muscle groups, its fully portable, rechargeable design, and its no-hassle setup—making it ideal for recovery on the go, whether you're at the gym, at home, or on the road.
How often will I use the PulseStrap™ device?
The ideal number of weekly PulseStrap™ sessions depends on your lifestyle, activity level, and how you use the device—whether for warm-up, post-activity recovery, or extended travel. Below are some general usage examples to help guide your routine:
Example 1: Low to Moderate Activity
- Activity Frequency: 1–3 times per week
- Recommended Use: 1–2 sessions pre and post workout
If you're engaged in light to moderate workouts or occasional physical strain, using PulseStrap™ a few times a week can help support muscle recovery and reduce soreness.
Example 2: High-Intensity Training or Frequent Travel
- Activity Frequency: 4–7 times per week
- Recommended Use: 2-3 sessions pre and post-workout
For athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or those with physically demanding schedules or frequent travel, using PulseStrap™ regularly throughout the week may provide more consistent recovery support.
Important Note:
PulseStrap™ is FDA-cleared for the temporary relief of muscle soreness and to temporarily increase local blood circulation in healthy muscles of the lower extremities. Actual usage may vary by individual needs and comfort. Always follow the recommended instructions for use.
Are the PulseStrap™ devices painful to use?
No—it is not intended to be painful.
PulseStrap™ features carefully tuned stimulation settings designed to deliver effective muscle activation while maintaining user comfort.
During use, you’ll feel gentle muscle contractions in the area where PulseStrap™ is applied—such as the legs, arms, back, or neck. In the lower leg, this may result in a subtle foot movement or “pulse.” In other areas, you may notice a light rhythmic tightening of the muscles. This sensation may feel unfamiliar at first but is a normal and important part of how the device works to temporarily increase local blood circulation and support recovery.
If the stimulation feels too strong or uncomfortable, simply lower the intensity level until it feels comfortable. Most users adapt within minutes and find the sensation therapeutic and effective.
Can I use PulseStrap™ on other areas besides my legs?
Yes! PulseStrap™ is FDA-cleared for use on several muscle groups. You can use it on the arms, shoulders, back, waist, abdomen, legs, and buttocks for temporary relief of muscle soreness and to support healthy muscle tone.
It’s also cleared to temporarily increase local blood circulation in healthy lower extremity muscles, which makes it ideal for leg-focused recovery.
Always follow recommended placement guidelines and use only with compatible electrodes for best results.
Can I wear PulseStrap™ during air travel?
Yes—PulseStrap™ can be worn during air travel and is portable, TSA-safe, and easy to use on the go.
Using PulseStrap™ on your lower legs during long flights may help temporarily increase local circulation in the healthy muscles, which can support comfort and reduce muscle stiffness during extended periods of sitting.
How does PulseStrap™ Devices differ from other Muscle Stim?
PulseStrap™ is an FDA-cleared TENS and EMS device designed to stimulate healthy muscles and temporarily increase local blood circulation—while remaining compact, wearable, and rechargeable.
Unlike bulky or wired stimulators, PulseStrap™ uses targeted electrical pulses to activate muscles in a way that mimics natural movement. Its custom stimulation modes are designed for comfortable, sustained use and may help reduce the muscle fatigue that can occur with traditional EMS sessions.
The result? A streamlined, user-friendly recovery device that supports post-activity comfort—without interrupting your lifestyle.
Who shouldn't use the PulseStrap™ devices?
PulseStrap™ should not be used by individuals with implanted electronic devices, such as pacemakers or implantable defibrillators or used by individuals with a recent diagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). It should not be used during pregnancy or in people that have epilepsy or a seizure disorder unless under the supervision of a physician.
PulseStrap™ is not intended for use on children under the age of 12.
For a complete list of contraindications, warnings, and precautions, please refer to the Instructions for Use provided with the device.
How do I know when I hit the correct level of stimulation?
You’ll know you’ve reached the appropriate stimulation level when you see a visible and rhythmic contraction of the muscle group where the PulseStrap™ is applied. This indicates that the electrical pulses are effectively activating the underlying muscles.
If the response appears weak or inconsistent—such as small muscle contractions or pulses—try gradually increasing the intensity using the ( + ) button or adjusting the device placement to improve contact and alignment with the target muscle.
For best results, use PulseStrap™ at the lowest intensity level that produces a full and consistent muscle contraction in the area being treated. This ensures effective stimulation while maximizing comfort and minimizing fatigue.
How should I store and transport the PulseStrap™ devices?
To maintain optimal performance, store and transport your PulseStrap™ devices in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, or humidity.
Avoid leaving the device in hot environments—such as a parked car, sauna, or near heat sources—as high temperatures may degrade the hydrogel electrode pads and reduce their adhesive and conductive properties.
For added protection during travel, we recommend using the original case or a protective pouch to keep your device and accessories clean, secure, and ready for use.
Will the adhesive gel pads lose stickiness at some point?
Yes, with regular use, the adhesive gel pads will gradually lose their stickiness. This is a normal part of wear and tear and can be affected by factors such as:
- Skin oils, hair, or debris accumulating on the pad surface
- Dry skin or loss of moisture on the gel
To help extend the life of each pad, you can lightly rehydrate the gel by sprinkling a small amount of water onto its surface. Avoid over-saturating, as too much water may break down the adhesive and reduce effectiveness.
Each PulseStrap™ Starter Pack includes two devices and two reusable blue gel pads. Once the pads begin to lose adhesion and no longer maintain effective contact, we recommend replacing them with a new set—available directly on our website.
Good news: The devices themselves are fully rechargeable and reusable—just replace the gel pads and keep going.
